M&Js End of Season Report

As the season draws to a close I’d like to thank all our fantastic volunteers, coaches, admins , first aiders & sponsors for their time and efforts this season without you all we just wouldn’t be sustainable , so a massive Thank you.

Last part of the season has been a bit frustrating due to game/training cancellations as the weather conditions have been unprecedented.

When our teams have gone out and played they have all done so with pride and represented our club exceptionally well and I hope this continues next season .

Key parts of the season for me in my first season as M&J Chair have been of plenty but to name a few.

Watching the U14’s win the North Midlands Cup final in a thrilling game and then welcoming them back home to a packed out club house, it was a fantastic achievement which hasn’t been seen in the section for apparently 20 years.

It wasn’t just the win but seeing all different age groups showing their support and coming together, it’s what the club is all about.

Then seeing the girls section set up and running as well as it has done so at this stage is brilliant and it can now only get better.

The big one though is how everyone is pulling together , we have seen quizzes, karaokes , colour fun runs to name a few things, I’m delighted on how well these events have been supported in bringing all different age groups together.

During the summer season we have lots of great events coming up which helps keeps the club going so please keep supporting those too!

Also good luck for the remaining fixtures and festivals tournaments and tours to the rest of our sections hope you all have a great summer.
