The Gates In Their New Home

You will no doubt have noticed that we have relocated our decorative gates which were fabricated by Bromsgrove Guild who also did the main gates for Buckingham Palace and the Liver Birds on the Liver Building amongst many other prestigious works. The gates were originally manufactured for the entrance to our original ground, moved to our current grounds and now, due to the extension, have been moved again. As part of his legacy, Philip Amphlett, who was instrumental in the securing of our current grounds at Finstall Park and the building of the original clubhouse, bequeathed some money to the Club which has been used to redecorate the gates and move them to their new position.

On 7th March 26 Anne Amphlett and members of her family joined us at the Club to officially “open” them in their new position.
