Since its inception just over four decades ago, Exol has been at the forefront of the lubricants industry, consistently delivering excellence and innovation to our customers.

Established in 1984, Exol began its journey as a small-scale operation, founded on the principles of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Over the years, we have grown exponentially, expanding our product range, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and establishing ourselves as a trusted name in the industry.

From humble beginnings, Exol has evolved into a powerhouse in the lubricants market, with a reputation for delivering high-performance products tailored to meet the diverse needs of our customers.

📌 What inspired you to support Bromsgrove Rugby Club?

Exol has an affinity for supporting the local community and local sports clubs – and we’re delighted to sponsor Bromsgrove RFC as a way for us to not only promote Exol as a leading lubricants supplier but also help to futureproof the club and invest in their ongoing success.

📌 What makes your business unique or stand out?

People are key for Exol. The company is passionate about investing in its team – developing and promoting from within via its apprenticeship scheme to support and futureproof the business. This includes training and courses for MBA Senior Leader degree, CIPD Strategic People Management Level 7, Level 3 Data Analysis and Level 5 Operations Manager – as well as training in HGV licenses.

Exol prides itself on long-term relationships – with both customers and its staff. Its senior team members boast a combined service of over 100 years!

📌 What’s one interesting fact about your company that people might not know?

Exol operates one of the most environmentally friendly fleets – the ‘Exol Pride’ barge – and is one of the only few companies to use the waterways to transport products.

The ‘Exol Pride’ transports raw materials from Hull to Exol’s bulk blending plant in Rotherham to help, which means Exol can benefit from a cost-effective, efficient, sustainable fleet, minimising its carbon footprint while transporting large loads.

📌 What’s your best piece of advice for our members—whether in business, life, or rugby?

Relationships are key. Whether on the pitch or in business, building and retaining long-term relationships with people, and always supporting those around you, can help lead to continued success.
